What is the place in the world where you can
find the most beauty in the least amount of space ?
That place is called Cuzcatlan
in the Nahuatl language, or El Salvador as it is currently known, is a
country filled with exotic natural beauty, folklore, legends, traditions and
modernity. America's little thumb (that's how salvadoreans
describe their country) proudly shows to the world its natural beauty
through its volcanoes, beaches, lakes and ancient traditions.
But El Salvador also looks forward and it shows its modern face in the
manner of sprawling shopping centers, Industrial and business parks
etc. El Salvador embraces the whole world and it offers all tourists
alike its beauty and limitless options for their enjoyment and recreation

Why was this site created |

It was in the midst of
pain and sadness produced by the tragic earthquakes that took place in
my beloved country on January & February of 2001 that I decided to
create this web-page to honor all that is beautiful about El Salvador, too
many times the media focuses on tragedy and suffering alone and ignore
all that's good about El Salvador; Nature has bestowed my country with
indescribable beauty , lakes, volcanoes, valleys and mountains give this
land its marvelous character, nevertheless nothing comes free or easily as
it is precisely these tectonic movements we perceived as earthquakes
the ones that have created such breathtaking scenery, each volcano, each
lake and valley is a silent witness to the ravages of nature, and it's
the very same forces of nature that produces earthquakes the ones that have
shaped this enchanted land and makes me realize that living in El
Salvador is like living on top of a roller-coaster, nature destroys,
but it has also created all that is beautiful in this land called El
Salvador.....Welcome to my Country !
